Drill Pipe Tag
The Drill Pipe Tag is a specially designed high pressure high temperature surface acoustic wave (SAW) tag for tagging down-hole assets including tubular and drill pipe. It is uniquely designed to withstand hydrostatic pressure of up to 20,000 PSI and temperature up to -67ºF to 572º F. The tag’s external casing provides caustic resistance for down-hole environments. It is designed to be easily placed onto tubular by milling a round hole. The tag has pressure normalization channels to prevent explosive decompression (pressure built up behind the tag).
